Woke up this morning to the sound of one of the hard drives in my server going click-clunk click-clunk click-clunk. I was barely able to shut Windows down. When I tried to check out the drive in the BIOS, it had dissappeared. Great...
Fortunately I was using a RAID array, so I ran down to Fry's, picked up a new drive, slapped it in, rebuilt the mirror, and the system was back up and running in less than 2 hours with no data lost. Yay! Much relief.
Even better, at the checkout I found the drive I'd selected had a $60 rebate on it, slicing the price in half. Wooo!
