I found an online copy of the rule book for Arkham Horror yesterday. DAMN but that game is complicated! It took me over an hour to read and digest it! 21 decks of cards, 737 pieces, and an average game lasts 2-4 hours
. Holy crap! It makes Monopoly look like Candyland. But it sure sounds fun.
(For those of you who haven't heard of this game, it's based on the writings of H. P. Lovecraft. In the game, the players have to work together gathering clues, battling monsters and sealing dimensional gates to prevent one of the Great Old Ones from awakening.)
I did some searching around, both on and offline, and finally ended up ordering it from Funagain Games
. It's one of the most expensive board games I've ever seen, but for the sheer size and replayability of the game, it's not bad.
