Hams & yams

For dinner tonight, I made a ham with cranberry glaze. To make the glaze, I mixed half a can of cranberry sauce with 1/2 cup of brown sugar and a tablespoon or two of lemon juice.

I also made chipotle smashed sweet potatoes. I took 3 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes, then steamed them for 25 minutes. I dumped the potatoes into a pot and added 3 tablespoons of butter and started mashing. Then I finely chopped a single canned chipotle pepper and added it along with 1 teaspoon of the adobo sauce from the canned peppers and 1/2 a teaspoon of salt and mashed some more until it was smooth. Sweet and spicy!
