I need a 55 gallon drum of ketchup
Life in Nebraska just became a bit more bearable; a Costco finally opened in Omaha! Up until now, the closest store was in Des Moines, roughly a 6 or 7 hour drive round-trip.
Sure, there was a Sam's Club, but it's just not as good. The prices are higher, the selection is smaller, and the quality just isn't quite the same.
Now I have to decide whether to keep my Sam's Club account along with the Costco account. I have a Discover card through Sam's, and it gets me up to 2% cash back on every purchase. The Costco American Express only gets 1% on most stuff, but it also gives 3% back on dining and 5% on gasoline, two of my biggest credit card expenses.
I'll finally be able to use the $39 Costco Executive Membership rebate check I've had sitting around since last year. That'll almost cover a year's basic membership.
Now if they could just open a Pep Boys, some 7-11s and start bringing in Dennison's Chili, I'd have all the comforts of home. Well, except the warm weather year-round.
